POIEMA PRINTS
ARTIST BIO
A little bit about me . . .
I was born in Hong Kong and raised in Edmonton. Growing up, I was always fascinated by the arts and grew to love painting, drawing and experimented with all sorts of mediums. I fell in love with printmaking during my undergrad Arts degree and continued making my own prints at home. I find my inspiration from plants and animals and try to draw attention to the intricacies, delicate patterns and elegance that I find in nature. Printmaking has become a way for me to bring beauty to those around me and allows me to use my gifts as an artist to point to the creations of the Great Creator himself.

Meaning Behind "Poiema Prints"

I hope that my art will glorify the Lord and bless the lives of others. I chose the Greek word poiema from scripture, as a reminder of my identity as one of God's wonderful creations and to create pieces with the care and love that I see in God's creations.

Some of my Favourite Quotes

“We are a divine work of art.” - C.S. Lewis

“Do you know what it means that you are God’s workmanship? What is art? Art is beautiful, art is valuable, and art is an expression of the inner being of the maker, of the artist. Imagine what that means." - Timothy Keller
